(More customer reviews)The HUMAX will more that meet your need for a second or third household TV.I have mine setup in a spare bed room connected to a DVD player so it can offer standard ED DTV television broadcasts and movie entertainment.I found overall picture quality, contrast, and color saturation all better than expected and it works quite well for my needs.With multiple A/V inputs this becomes a versatile piece of equipment even if you won't build a home theater system around it. Set up is intuitive but like previous reviewer, DIRECTV customer service was challenged with the activation, the first two techs I spoke with were completely unaware that the product was even offered by the sat provider.At under $400 it's worth considering.

If you're a DirecTV subscriber, the 20-inch Humax 20LD60 LCD TV provides an easy way to add satellite TV programming to a second room in your home. It features a built-in DirecTV tuner, enabling access to DirecTV services and programming via a single coaxial cable and without having to deal with any additional wiring or a second set-top box (DirecTV subscription required). This 20-inch set is a great choice for adding to your kitchen or a bedroom. It comes with a tabletop stand, which can be removed for mounting to the wall with optional hardware.
The 20LD60 features a 640 x 480-pixel resolution, 4:3 standard definition aspect ratio, fast 16 ms (millisecond) response rate, 160-degree horizontal viewing angle, 450 cd/m2 (candela per square meter) brightness rating, and 500:1 contrast ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV's ability to display subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.)
The 3D digital comb filter constantly analyzes the three dimensions of picture height, picture width, and picture changes-over-time, to reduce dramatically edge image artifacts while improving transition detail. Other video features include noise reduction, LTI/CTI sharpness for crisp picture reproduction, flesh tone color enhancement, and six picture modes (standard, dynamic, movie, mild, game, and user defined). Convenience features include trilingual onscreen display (English, French, Spanish), channel labeling, and V-Chip parental controls.
The two built-in speakers provide 3 watts of power per channel (for 6 watts of total power), and sound effects include flat, speech, movie, music, and user-defined. It includes the following connection options:

Component video (also called Y/Pb/Pr) features a three-jack video input, which provides separate connections for luminance (Y), blue color difference (PB) and red color difference (PR). This results in increased bandwidth for color information, resulting in a more accurate picture with clearer color reproduction and less bleeding than you would get with S-Video or composite (RCA yellow video plug) connections. You will need a separate RCA left/right audio cable for sound.
