(More customer reviews)panasonic sold service to denon, and no longer offer this type of machine. but before digital signal was out, I took advantage and wore out the hdd I used it that much!!!! when the conversion to digital took over, there was no fix for the tuner and it was too much drama to mess with it...by then it needed a new hdd [ no big deal really ] but the modem fried and that would have not been cost effective. If I had it to do over, I'd of saved the board to try to figure out where the program was, because it was the best way to record, pause live, rewind live to hear again something you missed. there was a decision made high up to not make many like this, they opted for the pay type tivo and the uvers tv and the satellite tv type. magnavox now has one that is kinda similar, tho no tv guide, but it is like a modern vcr, just no tapes and 360 g of HDD recoding space and the option to burn to dvd. I spent 900.00 on this replay tv unit back in 2000 bought the lifetime tv guide service and it lasted 6yrs....I have no regrets, just that panasonic bowed out of upgrading to digital and keeping this going....too bad
